Jacky Harding 65lb Nile Perch It is difficult to comprehend the sheer size of Lake Nasser, with an area of 2,000 square miles and a shore line of some 4,500 miles; this lake is the size of an English county! Because of the long distances we have been content to fish the top two thirds of the lake while the bottom third still remains relatively unexplored.

We have allocated a boat safari unit consisting of three fishing boats and one of our mother ships to operating safaris between Garf Hussein and Abu Simbel. This new itinerary involves approximately 4 days exploring areas which have seldom been fished before. We believe the Nile perch in these southern areas of the lake might be less spooky than those further North. The current IGFA (International Game Fishing Association) all tackle world record, a Nile perch of 230lb, was caught by one of our American anglers in this area south of Amada. An added bonus is a visit to the temples of Abu Simbel which are among the most magnificent monuments in the world and well worth the experience.

The Abu Simbel Safari is the same as the Lake Nasser Safari, the only difference is that these safaris cover the Southern section of the lake with start and finish points either at Abu Simbel or Garf Hussein.

  • The Abu Simbel Safari starts every Tuesday and ends on a Sunday.
  • The safari price is per person and includes an Arrival & Departure Package which takes care of your travel arrangements from your arrival at Cairo, Luxor or Aswan airport until you board your flight home. The package is based on a Monday arrival in Egypt, overnight at a hotel and the safari starting on a Tuesday.
  • If you would like to make your own plans to reach Aswan then deduct £110 from the safari cost.
  • Single anglers pay for one place from the price band for 2 sharing a fishing boat, we will guarantee your place and then try to find a suitable partner for you to fish with.

If we are not successful you will have the fishing boat for your own use. If you would like to combine your fishing holiday with visiting some of ancient Egypt’s fantastic monuments then please let us know, we will be pleased to arrange this for you.
