Ordering And Paying For Tackle Hire
Tackle Box
Tackle and lures for heavy fishing are expensive. If you do not already have
this type of tackle you can save money by hiring everything you need from the
African Angler.
If you hook into that fish of a life time it is important to have quality equipment,
rest assured that the rods & reels we provide are top of the range.
Fishing the lake every day we have the advantage of being up to date with successful
lures. We have an extensive range of lures, fitted with extra strength hooks,
for both trolling and shore fishing.
We operate a straightforward hire system, you pay the hire price for the equipment
you need, look after it, return it and that is the end of the matter. If
you loose or break any of the items then you are expected to pay for them.
You will find the cost of lost lures etc. under the heading “Lost Charge” in
the Hire Charges table below.
If necessary you can arrive in Aswan for your fishing holiday with no tackle
at all and have total confidence that we will provide you with all you need.
We do not provide replacement line. Your trolling reel comes loaded with 30/40lb
BS line and your shore reel is loaded with 20/25lb BS line. When this line
is used up, you have to replace it yourself. Please therefore plan to bring
one spool of 30/40lb line and one spool of 20lb line.
Rods
Some anglers prefer short rods (Americans & Australians) and others,
longer rods (Europeans). We have both types, if you have a preference be sure
to let us know to make sure you get the rod that you are most comfortable with.

Tackle Hire Order
Select the equipment you would like to hire and then email your list to the
African Angler at a-angler@link.net.
We will send you a confirmation and arrange to have your order ready for you
to collect at the start of the safari. If you do not have an email then please
tell your travel agent what you would like to hire from us.
You pay for tackle hire when you collect it from us before your safari starts.
The reason you don’t pay in advance is to give you the option of buying
or borrowing equipment before you come on a safari. If you decide to cancel
any ordered items please tell us in advance.
Payment can be made in cash or traveller’s cheques, sorry no personal
cheques or credit card facility. If you are paying in cash please bring the
correct change because we might not have any cash change available.
Lost or Broken: If
any items you hire are lost or broken then you will have to pay the ‘Lost
or Broken’ charge as detailed below. There are no charges for fish damaged
lures so long as the lure is returned with your hired tackle box.
Broken or lost rods will be charged for regardless of the reason. We
do not charge for broken reels you will only pay if they are lost.
